Course Objectives:
Ø Survey of the main periods in art history, with emphasis on the complex relationship between art and society.
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. To learn the appropriate vocabulary and critical tools for discussing and writing about works of art and architecture.
2. To gain awareness of the major artistic movements
3. To relate specific works of art and architecture to their stylistic, historical, and social contexts.
